AUSTIN, TX — Three Austin police officers were reportedly disciplined for mistreatment, including not interceding during use of force in one case, and behaving rudely to a woman reporting a sexual assault in another.
Officers Brian O' Quinn, Katherine Alzola and Eric Perez were suspended by Police Chief Joseph Chacon, according to a memo the police chief released Wednesday.
Quinn was suspended for 20 days after the department received a complaint that he was rude to a woman reporting a sexual assault and "acted like he didn't believe her" and failed to relay important information to a detective, according to a tweet by Austin-American Statesman and KVUE reporter Tony Plohetski.
