AUSTIN, TX—The community is invited to enjoy any of several events hosted by The City of Austin as part of the Austin Veteran Arts Festival (AVAFest) this fall. Departments are involved with exhibits, presentations, and virtual experiences with a goal to reduce Veteran suicide by unifying Veterans with the communities through the arts. Held over the next few months this fall, Austin Parks and Recreation will host the following events: Asian American Resource Center- "Filipino-American Navy" featuring Photographer, Sherwin Rivera Tibayan.
