SAN DIEGO, CA — An 18-year-old man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries Sunday after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a car that turned in front of him at a San Diego intersection. The crash was reported at 7:17 p.m. Saturday at Laurel Street and Fairmont Avenue, according to San Diego police Officer Robert Heims. A 67-year-old woman driving a 2012 Altima turned southbound on Fairmont Avenue into the path of the Honda CRF250R motorcycle, which crashed into her driver's side door, Heims said. The motorcyclist suffered multiple fractures and internal injuries and was taken to a hospital by paramedics, he said. The driver of the car was not injured, Heims said. The Honda CRF250R motorcycle is an off-road vehicle without headlights or tail lights, according to pictures on the Honda website, but can be altered to add those features. — City News Service
