Funding Secured For Reno Projects At UE

By Steve Burger, WNIN Oct. 6, 2021 At a campus event and on social media, UE officials announced that they have acquired full funding for renovations of Wheeler Concert Hall and the Krannert Hall of Art and Music gallery. In February, UE announced the creation of the UE Music Conservatory as part of the university's realignment. According to a release, they raised $3 million in less than six months to pay for the renovations. Wheeler Concert Hall had a water line break in the fall of 2019, making the space unusable for concerts and recitals. In addition to fixing that damage, the funding will pay for acoustical improvements and new seating. The Krannert Hall of Art and Music Gallery will also get a facelift as part of the renovation.
