Octogenarian Beaten By Woman In Botched San Pedro Carjacking

SAN PEDRO, CA — Los Angeles police re asking for help finding a young woman who shoved an 81-year-old man to the ground outside his San Pedro home while trying to steal his truck last month. The botched carjacking occurred at about 2:30 p.m. Sept. 22 when the man was parking his truck in front of his home. The woman, a 20 to 30-year-old blonde, approached him and shoved him to the ground while snatching his keys away, according to investigators. She tried to make off with the truck but was unable to engage a kill switch that prevented it from being taken. She fled the area on foot, and the victim suffered minor injuries, according to police. The suspect stands between 5-feet-1 and 5-feet-3 inches tall and weighs between 140 and 150 pounds.
