BRENTWOOD, CA — An injured mountain biker was being airlifted out of the Mandeville Canyon area Wednesday afternoon. Just before 1:30 p.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department received a call to help a 19-year-old biker who became injured and stranded in the remote terrain. The department's air operations team was working to airlift the injured biker using a backboard, said LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart. The biker's injuries were not considered life-threatening.
