Description
I've recently bought a house and I would like to have a kitchenette installed in the lower level. After looking at some estimates I am beginning to think that a general contractor with experience in drywall, electrical, flooring and cabinet/countertop installation may be a good way to go. I would need the below completed.
1. Installation of a wall and a door to create a utility room to cover in my water heater and furnace
2. Installation of waterproof flooring
3. Installation of a base cabinet for a sink with the countertop - I have the cabinet and the sink - this includes removing the utility sink you see in the photos - probably going with a laminate countertop
4. Installation of cabinetry which I am purchasing from a local cabinet company and the countertops (I have not decided on the material the countertops would be made of yet but likely laminate) I have the drawings attached.
5. Installation of ceiling tiles - I would like to use the existing frame but will need to have ceiling tiles installed. I have lights to be installed also but we can discuss in more detail if you give an estimate.
Do not focus on the sump pipe - that is being resolved next week.
This is not a large space - I would say it is about 200 square feet. I have attached a drawing of the kitchenette cabinetry that is going in for #4.
If interested, please confirm that you are mhic licensed and give me some information on your experience. Please also let me know how soon you could give an estimate. Also, I am not opposed to your company supplying materials.
