Update: 4 p.m. Wednesday Southbound 1, 2, and 3 trains have resumed making normal stops in Manhattan Wednesday afternoon after emergency personnel responded to someone hit by a train around 8:40 a.m. at 59th Street-Columbus Circle. Delays are still expected in both directions as trains get back on schedule. UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A person was struck by a train Wednesday morning at the 59th Street Columbus Circle subway station, according to the MTA. The MTA did not specify if the person was on the tracks when they were hit. The person was struck around 8:40 a.m., according to the MTA. Southbound 1, 2, and 3 trains are now all running with delays and getting rerouted while emergency personnel responds to the incident.
