nylon screw rivet knowledge?

I picked up a pack of nylon screw rivets. They look like plastic wall anchors but when I turn the screw, nothing happens. Am I missing something? I saw that regular rivets require a tool that pulls the center out and causes the other end to bunch up. Do I need to pull the screw out somehow after pushing it in?
