Description

Hey there, I just recently moved to town, and I'm itching to start playing music again... I was living in Germany and Italy for the past 14 years, had some bands over there, and am looking forward to getting some bands and projects started here. I primarily play guitar and sing, but I can also play some bass, synth, sax, uke and a bit of drums when the opportunity presents itself. I've written songs and collaborated with others, and I've played in a bunch of bands that toured around Europe and the east cost of the U.S.-- I'd really love to start playing shows again and ideally tour around a bit more. Here's what I'm looking for: - *a rock duo or trio*: ideally original indie/punk/experimental with some pop thrown in, and it would be great if we could switch off on the instruments... Here are a couple of my original bands from Germany: https://elcassette.bandcamp.com/ https://sallyrides.bandcamp.com/releases - *an acoustic duo*: I played guitar in a couple of acoustic duos in Italy. We mostly played our own interpretations of covers with a few originals thrown in. Here's one of them: https://soundcloud.com/always_on_tour This band featured a violinist and my other one featured a trombonist, which was great fun, but also instruments such as cello, double bass, accordion, or even cajon could work well. - *a street band*: I played in the Rude Mechanical Orchestra in NYC (https://rudemechanicalorchestra.org/ and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17hYqndB-SQ) and the Express Brass Band in Munich (https://www.expressbrassband.de/en/). I'd love to help start a street band in the spirit of HONK (https://honkfest.org),. I'm looking for folks who want to have a ton of fun playing music with others but are also serious about making things happen. Creative collaboration is the key... Let me know if you're interested!
