Baloo is a Labradoodle-Malamut mix, who just turned one year old on August 11th. A big boy currently weighing 102 lbs, he is a nice dog with lots of energy. Unlike many poodle-mixes, his coat is straight, soft and manageable with minimal brushing. His breed and youth make him smart yet stubborn at times. Baloo is house trained and he knows the commands of sit, roll over and high five. His favorite activities are fetch and chase. He can be very rewarding with his affection, and Baloo hasn't shown any signs of aggression toward other dogs. He is good with kids and, although his size and energy level can be intimidating to little ones, he gives them extra space and is conspicuously gentle. He is a good trail companion and doesn't tend to wander very far when off-leash. He loves to be outside but is good indoors as well, but he doesn't know much about cats. Baloo is not fixed but has had all of his shots and is microchipped. Baloo was a rescue; the last pup in a litter that no one wanted. We've given him a good start and we'd like to see him go to a good home, not the pound! He needs a home with more attention and space than we can provide. Rehoming fee negotiable.
