Hey! I manage and use a rehearsal space in Suburbia Studios in SE Portland. I am looking for a group or individual to join the room starting October 20th. About the room: -20'x25' (quite large for a studio) -carpeted (dirty) -no windows (but there are lamps!) -People smoke in the building but not in our room -PA and mic stands at the ready (PA is nice and sounds great. bring your own mics and cables you're set) -Video surveillance -In the past there has been a house kit. The donor of that kit is currently trying to find a drummer, so at the moment there is no house kit. -It's on the second story, so it's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. There is a wall heater however to combat the cold -24 hr access Currently there are 2 groups and 1 individual sharing the space. There are shelves for storage (that could use a little organizing) and plenty of floor space to get amps out of the way. What I ask of you: -Pay rent via Venmo or CashApp each month, on time. (cash is fine as well, we can establish a place for you to leave it) -Sign the simple contract I've written up, and let me take a photo of your valid ID -If you have drums, I request you break them down and stow them (there are some good nooks) -Amps just need to be pushed against the wall -Be capable of using google calendar to schedule your times. Some people use recurring events, and some just put in their names and times as it works for them. Honestly it's been pretty quiet in there, plenty of scheduling opportunities. The building is pretty quiet in the mornings and afternoons, so recording could be done around then if that is what you're after. Right now the room is generally booked on Sunday, Thursday, and Tuesday evenings. Totally open aside from that. If you wanna check it out, hit me up. Call or text preferred. Thanks!
