Description

Looking for a new home for our dog Eva. 6 years old, spayed, female, up to date on all vaccinations. Weighs 80 lbs. No health issues. She is a complete sweetheart, and a total cuddlebug. She is intelligent and mindful of her people. Very treat motivated. Quick to pick up commands and is solid on sit, stay, down, and shake. She is ok at 'leave it', but prefers chewing on a ball or toy over having it thrown. She'll chase sticks all day. She is very playful and loves fetch, tug, and swimming. She has excellent recall and stays close when going on hikes off-leash. Our biggest challenge with her has been leash training. She pulls quite a bit, and demonstrates leash aggression/frustration when near other dogs. When off-leash, she does well with other dogs and spends lots of time at local dog parks. She's generally good around unfamiliar dogs even without a proper introduction, but has shown minor discomfort/aggression on occasion. Has lived with other dogs before with no issues, and has spent time living in a home with a cat with no major issues. She's kennel trained and honestly loves her kennel. Takes most of her naps in there. We're looking to find her a new home because of her energy level. It's not off the charts, but she needs lots of good play and long walks. It works for right now since I'm working from home, but starting in 2022 she'll be alone for 12+ hours/day and when I'm home I won't have time to give her the exercise and attention she deserves. We think the best thing for her is to find her a home with room to roam and lots of love and attention to give. She's good with kids, although her size and high-energy may be hard for some kids to interact with. We have a dog bed, kennel, blankets, large food dispenser, food/water dishes, toys, harness, collar, leash, food, and treats that can go with her. Please reply for more information or to schedule a time to come meet her. We would like to spend a little time with any interested parties to make sure she goes to the right home.
