Health Professionals Institute is now offering a Med Tech/MACE course. An MA-C is a useful certification for CNAs working in nursing facilities, intermediate care facilities for individuals with an intellectual disability or related conditions, correctional institutions, and assisted-living facilities. Our course covers pharmacology, medication classification, drug dosage, and more so that you can safely and confidently administer medication, recognize side effects, and accurately record dosage and treatment. A medication assistant endorsement certification allows you to: Administer certain medications under direct supervision of an RN Perform specific treatments under direct supervision of an RN Affordable, Quick Certification HPI’s medication assistant endorsement program is a three-to-five-week course with 100 hours of instruction divided between theory/lab hours and clinical experience.
