The Music Exchange Listening Room open mic happens this WEDNESDAY evening, October 6th, at the W Gallery, 57 Andrews Ave in Wayland Center. Doors open at 7:30, music commences at 8pm. This event is for MUSIC LOVERS, not only musicians! We have recently welcomed performers coming from as far away as Bellingham, Fitchburg and Worcester, as well as many local talents, including some published and professional musicians between tours. Yes, it's that good! There's comfortable seating and if you'd like an enjoyable night out with live music, this is it! Performers, grab a ten minute/2 song slot by signing in on the chalkboard at the door by 9:00. We've got a full PA, the gallery holds a decently tuned grand piano, and our stage is large enough to hold a full band. Light percussion (i.e., small drum kit, cajon, etc.) is welcome. BYO drink (please be neat and clean up after yourself!) and bottled water will be available. We ask for a $5 minimum donation to support the musical offerings at the gallery - Thank you! While we welcome all ages and all levels of musicianship, we do not allow backing tracks in favor of 'organic' performances. If you'd like back-up, please contact Steve.
