Mount Mansfield Unified Union School District is seeking a facilities manager for one of our school campuses. The facilities manager will be responsible for two different schools, Richmond Elementary and Camels Hump Middle School. The roles and responsibilities of the facilities manager include but not limited to: -Plan, supervise, and coordinate daily custodial and maintenance services for school campus (Richmond Elementary and Camels Hump Middle School) -Ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently and safely following all regulatory guidelines -Effectively manage and ensure upkeep of grounds and readiness of the schools for after school activities and special events during non-school hours -Perform routine general maintenance, repair functions, and typical cleaning duties during the school day hours -Manage requests for repairs and needs on a daily basis and delegate tasks to staff in both schools -Maintain and understand use of equipment and machinery related to maintenance of school -Understand and have prior experience maintaining wood chip burning plant, athletic fields, HVAC systems, air conditioning systems, and other related school systems to ensure economical usage of fuel, water, and electricity -Oversee annual budget, supervise personnel, and remain up to date with security and safety trainings (follow OSHA regulations and Department of Health) -Work closely with both school principals to ensure maintenance of schools and grounds are managed effectively and to implement any new projects -Works with District Facilities Director on Annual Trainings, Inspections, and Contracted Bids. -Coordinate and schedule work by contractors/vendors as well as be responsible for requesting bid proposals for work -Assist in educating and engaging staff on new products, safety, and facilities -Act as a contributing member of the school safety team -Communicate effectively with staff and have knowledge and experience with Google documents, worksheets, sites, and forms
