BASS PLAYER wanted to play casual practice jams with possible play out events. We practice in the Newberg area in a good-sized dedicated music room in a house. We are mature and mostly retired or semi-retired from work and we are amateur musicians who enjoy playing for the fun of it. We play everything from Dylan to Stones to Hollies to Tom Petty to John Prine to Johnny Cash to Neil Young to Beach Boys to America to country to folk-rock songs to blues and basic rock and roll. We do not play heavy metal or hard rock. We are not perfect or trying to be a cover band but have a lot of fun working on songs. We are not a gigging band but have played out a few times and may again as the opportunities arise. We are not interested in super loud. Singing is optional but encouraged. We play on Fridays from noon to 3:00 in Newberg. The current group consists of: a drummer, singer with acoustic electric guitar, singer with electric guitar, electric rhythm guitar. We are looking for a bass player to round it out. We have a PA and monitors for vocals. Each of us have our own guitar amps. Bass player will need amp.
