--Job Summary-- Experienced floral designer needed for busy flower shop. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience working with flowers in a fast paced retail flower shop setting. They are stylistically diverse with a sincere desire to learn and design within the POLITES FLORIST aesthetic. They are a self starter with a positive attitude who enjoys interacting with people. They are passionate about color, texture and nature. A base knowledge in houseplant care is encouraged. • Full Time Hours & Weekend availability a must (more during holiday seasons) • Qualified applicants will be tested on their design ability. --Responsibilities and Duties-- • Must be knowledgeable in a variety of designs and styles. • Ability to design under pressure and in a team setting required. • Must have retail flower shop experience, customer service experience, as well as floral design experience. • Duties to include but not limited to maintaining a clean and well stocked sales floor, knowledge of the product, able to design floral arrangements and other flower shop duties. • Candidate must be reliable and dependable with references. • Able to work weekends and extra hours on holidays.
