Riviera Marina on the beautiful Lake Travis is looking for an experienced Marine Forklift Operator. Operators must have a proven track of loading/unloading/displaying/moving Boats of various sizes. The forklift driver is responsible for the movement of all vessels located in the facility for haul & launch, designated work racks, and placing vessels in the dry storage. This position is also required to inspect, repair, and maintain all assigned equipment. A 90 day probation period is required when hired. The candidate is subject to a background check. Pay is negotiable and will depend on experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including but not limited to marine forklifts, tractors, and hydraulic tram systems. Be able to operate machinery efficiently, effectively and demonstrate safe handling of vessels Use equipment to move vessels to designated racks, dry storage, slinging/placing vessels onto trailers, or placing vessels on trams for launching into the water. Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment to ensure operation. Assist with ground maintenance and ensuring overall marina cleanliness. Available to work overtime and weekends when required. Technical and Physical Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required 2-3 years’ relevant experience preferred Heavy forklift experience and certification required Ability to work in all weather conditions Ability to lift 50 pounds Basic boat handling skills preferred Must possess a valid drivers’ license Minimum Soft Skills Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to provide exceptional customer service and an understanding of customers’ needs Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills while working both independently and within a team context Exhibit excellent judgment Detail-oriented and ability to multitask are essential skills
