rock/pop jam

Hi! I'm a guitar player looking for jam friends in the northwest suburbs. I want to jam with others, based on some rock/pop tunes with room for improvisation (e.g., Englishman in New York). Something like later Miles Davis playing "Time after time" or maybe something like Eric Clapton playing "Over the rainbow" is a kind of jam what I'm thinking, but of course playing own way. I guess you guys have nicer suggestions on tunes. If you're curious, please reply to my post. Thanks!
