The Palm Springs/Joshua Tree KOA is a campground looking for enthusiastic people to join our maintenance team. Located in the beautiful California desert about 40 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park, we are a wintertime destination offering camping in RVs, Cabins, Deluxe Cabins and tents year round. Our goal is to create a great camping experience for our guests by offering excellent customer service. RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures customers receive a high level of service consistent with our customer service philosophy Help to ensure the safety of guest and campground property with attentive observation and action Coordinate with office staff for problem resolution when available Communicate with all staff and management using Basecamp System Help enforce campground policies and implement solutions consistent with goals of park Proactive guest management to ensure positive environment for all guests Custodial work to maintain high standard of cleanliness in all facilities Pool maintenance Proactive approach to the daily repair and maintenance of campground facilities Other duties as assigned by manager Requirements • Good customer service and communications skills • Able to work with others and work independently • Intermediate to Advanced skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, irrigation and landscaping • Able to operate light vehicles safely on property • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of common repair tools • Running Bobcats, Tractors and other equipment a plus • Capable of digging, bending, climbing, and other manual labor • Professional Appearance and attitude towards guests and fellow team members • Communicate professionally and patiently • Be on your feet during shift and able to lift at least 50 lbs. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment We are seeking applicants with experience in the RV Park maintenance field with at least 2 years of general maintenance experience. Many of our projects are done in house so a broad base of knowledge and strong work ethic is important. The working hours for this position will be 35-40 hours per week between October 1-April 15th. Working hours will be throughout the week as well as on the weekend and over holidays. The starting pay of range $15 and up depending on your experience.
