Description
Some recent changes to our family dynamic has caused us to make the difficult decision to rehome our dogs.
We would love to find a foster home if that would be possible but understand that may not be an option and do not know how long it would take to be in a position to have them back.
This post is just for one of them for now.
Her name is Beaux (Bo-Bo) she will be 4 years old on Christmas eve.
She is a low content wolfdog mixed with shepherd and husky mostly. Her embark came back at 14% grey wolf.
She is up to date on her shots and is not fixed. She is a one person dog, and her person has left. She loves all of us but had a special bond with her human.
She is extremely cautious of people she does not know and is skidding until she trusts you. But when she does trust you, it is a very rewarding feeling. She is potty trained and kennel trained.
I will not rehome her to anyone with small dogs, cats, small livestock or small children (under 8) she has never killed anything but is in her nature to do so and I have not given her the opportunity to be in that situation. She has chased a few cats but never caught them. She knows basic command, sit, lay down, kennel up, shake, speak.
A fenced yard is a must and would prefer someone who has time to be with her most of the day at least during the beginning transition. She is more timid with men although her human was a man.
There is a small but reasonable rehoming fee. I would prefer someone with wolfdog experience but will talk someone through the differences between a wolfdog and a dog.
Again, we are open to a temporary long term foster, possibly even joint ownership if that's an option.
