What to expect as a Technician at Metro West Ambulance: Two Locations: (Hillsboro and Clackamas) Available Shifts: Morning Shift, Swing shift, Weekend (With some flexibility) Duties include the repair and maintenance of ambulances and vans in a timely and accurate manner. Specifically, engine and fuel systems diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting and repair, brake and electrical system work, front line mechanic inspections and preventive maintenance. Preferred Qualifications: • Valid driver's license • High school diploma or equivalent education • One year automotive experience • Proficient with computers • Must have personal tools (specialty tools will be provided) • Excellent customer service, interpersonal verbal and written communication skills • Ability to follow specific directions • An ability to prioritize multiple tasks • Maintain a safe and clean work area • Ability to read, interpret, understand and complete repairs utilizing repair manuals • Experience in Preventative maintenance (oil/fluids/coolant/batteries etc), Brakes repairs, Steering and suspension, Tires and more.. • Knowledge of Heating and Air conditioning • Positive attitude, willingness to grow with us and follow the industry standards • ASE Certification Applicants must pass Metro West Ambulance Standards; Drugs screening, Driving records, Criminal background Benefits: Pay: Hourly Position- $18-25/h DOE Health, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid-time off, sick leave, paid sabbaticals and gym membership reimbursement are offered to eligible employees.
