Description
I took this chameleon in with a couple of other animals about 6 months ago. None of them had been properly cared for and she had a severe burn injury on her back and was very thin when I got her.
Her injury has been treated, and while it's visible (probably always will be) she's otherwise good to go. For having lived without the right lights or care she does pretty well. she's eating great, and I'd like for her to find a permanent home. I hadn't intended to ever have a chameleon, I just couldn't let her stay in that situation when I took the other two.
I'm not asking a fee for her, just a knowledgeable and good home for her. I'd like to see pics of the enclosure you have for her (make sure you're in them so I know that's what you have for her) and what lighting you'll have for her. Shes free to a good home that has these ready for her as I'm not giving anything with her.
I can meet at either Jordan Creek in West Des Moines or in Waukee but that is as close as I'm driving. You'll also need an appropriate carrier for her to go into so that you can get her home safely.
She's been eating small dubias roaches and crickets without any issues and we give her calcium and vitamin supplements daily on her bugs. She eats like a champ.
Obviously I'd like her to not go to someone who wants to breed her, given that she'll probably always be small and is scarred from her bad start in life. It's estimated she's probably around a year of age, maybe a little over but I doubt much more than that.
