Looks like conservatives are longing for the big economic recessions that we had under Trump and Bush before that. REPUBLICAN = ECONOMIC RECESSION. Trump bullied the Fed into lowering the interest rate to historic lows. Combine that with massive tax cuts to corporations and you have a skyrocketing federal deficit. Trump, the self-proclaimed king of debt, ran the US into debt our grandchildren will still be paying off. He was desperate to keep the economy afloat as every one of his trade policies was an abject failure and the US economy was barely chugging along even before COVID. The government was effectively propping up the economy with low interest, tax cuts, and massive spending. That is the exact formula for socialism for those too stupid to recognize it
