…Well, within reason… Retired, hobbyist musician looking for an established or a forming band of other like-minded, music-loving musicians wanting to have fun playing music that made other people $millions$. I play bass and electric and acoustic rhythm guitar but would generally prefer bass. I have a fairly broad interest in musical styles that includes (in no particular order) British Invasion, 50’s and 60’s Rock, Folk, Pop, Dad Rock (Petty, Toto, Eagles, etc.), Country, Bluegrass, acoustic or electric—any one or more or combination. Country and/or Bluegrass would be of special interest. Not interested in the more extreme, head-banging iterations of rock, thank you. I have all professional-quality equipment and time to devote. I do not however, have access to band practice facilities. And I have no "professional" experience. Would love to connect with the right people for some regular-ish music making. I’m happy with just a casual band but would not be averse to an opportunity to maybe play for some occasions. Please, while age is not necessarily a factor, only the more “mature” individuals with similar musical interests and who can leave the politics and religion at the door. I'm looking to join with people serious enough about the MUSIC to make the best music we are collectively capable of BUT keeping the work-to-fun ratio necessarily skewed toward HAVING FUN. If we're not having fun, there is no point! No egos. No "rock stars." No agendas. Just fun and music! Am willing to travel, say +/- 1 hour or so from Redding for the right setting.
