SUMMARY OF POSITION Provides consistent maintenance support to warehouse operations in a manner that is cost-effective, timely, safe, and clean. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment required to run production department. Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment required to run warehouse. Perform preventive maintenance and maintain all required paperwork for completed preventive maintenance per schedule. Make repairs to building, plumbing, forklifts, walkies and other equipment when needed. Check fire extinguishers and call for maintenance when needed. Performs other tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor to aide in the efficient operations of the warehouse equipment. Empty garbage/recycle receptacles when needed. Keep track of the inventories for the janitorial equipment weekly General cleaning maintained in the warehouse and office areas General cleaning and maintaining of the outside of the building Make and load recycle bails and cardboard bales as needed Call for garbage pick-up as needed. Ensures safety by practicing strong safety prevention and following all applicable safety rules. Help in other areas as specified by ownership and Maintenance Supervisor. Contact outside vendor and order part and tools Assists with restocking boxes daily. Includes assembling, moving, and stacking. Communicate to supervisor when supplies are running low or there is extra time for other projects/tasks. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES • Strong trustworthiness and self-motivation to perform duties in private offices and throughout the facility with limited supervision. • Attention to detail and concern for quality appearance of the facility. • Prior experience and/or strong familiarity with commercial cleaning supplies and equipment. • Ability to lift garbage cans, recycling boxes, and other items that can range from 5 lbs. to 75 lbs. • Ability to constantly being walking, standing, stooping, bending and other movements associated with cleaning both large areas and small spaces. • Ability to use arms, hands, and other movement to operate equipment, assemble boxes, etc. • Familiarity with the company HACCP program as it relates to their work in the production area. • Strong familiarity with the company Accident Prevention Program and all applicable safety rules related to position. • Independent problem solving, judgment and investigation required to assess and solve maintenance issues in a manner that is cost-effective and timely. • Prior experience (approximately 3-5 years working experience) working with engineering/maintenance tasks such as electrical, mechanical and complicated equipment, tools and problems. • Demonstrated safety, physical capability and operating knowledge with the use of electrical, air and hand tools; electrical systems; refrigeration equipment; and general overall mechanical abilities. • Ability to lift items ranging from 0 to 100 pounds; frequently lifting items 5 to 50 pounds. • Certification and demonstrated skill with forklift, electric pallet jack, and scissor lift.
