Van Vreede’s TV & Appliance is looking for Delivery Driver-General Labor. If you enjoy being out on the road and doing something different each day, this job may be for you. Our Delivery Team ensures our customers receive their furniture, appliances, or electronics on time and in a professional manner. Our Delivery Team sets up and installs our products, troubleshoots occasional issues, may replace parts as needed, and removes any existing appliances or furniture. *Annual income $30,000-$40,000 per year. Starting at $15.50-$18.00 + per hr, depending on experience. Wage increases based on performance. Beginning at 8:00 a.m. The schedule rotates Monday – Saturday. Job Duties Include: *Double checking the daily manifest to make sure the truck is loaded with the right products and extras supplies such as hoses, cords, etc. *Calling the customer to notify them of your arrival. *Proper use of equipment such as skid mats and door jamb protectors to protect customer’s homes from damage. *Setup and installation of products. *Removal of existing furniture or appliances from customer’s homes. *Cleaning out the truck at the end of each work day. Breaking down any cardboard boxes, removal of any tools or extra supplies, etc. Additional Details *Basic knowledge of tools for product hook ups, and the ability to navigate unfamiliar roads. *The work environment involves extensive driving in a 26 ft. box truck in all kinds of weather. *Heavy lifting is required – anywhere from 24 lbs up to 450 lbs, in close proximity to a coworker. *The work day can occasionally last as long as 14 hours, depending on the workload for that day. *Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history. *High school diploma preferred.
