JOB DESCRIPTION: We are currently seeking skilled and qualified forklift operators to work in a fast-paced warehousing environment. Candidates will need to have strong operational skills and be detail oriented. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently within the warehouse and on the surrounding grounds in accordance with company policies and procedures. - Pick, pull, and move materials within the warehouse through use of a forklift. - Inspect, check, and store material according to manifests, packing lists, work orders, etc. - Maintain appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory control. - Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies to management. - Stack boxes on pallets for orders as specified. - Label, stretch-wrap, shrink-wrap, band material on and to pallets as specified. - Scan items in & out using RF system. - Maintain a clean and orderly work area and forklift. - Other duties as requested. SKILLS: - Must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. - Should have excellent time management skills and be detail oriented. - Ability to stand for extended periods of time (on warehouse floor). - Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly. - Must have a valid certification to operate forklifts. - Must be willing and able to work a full 8-hour shift and to work overtime when necessary. - Must be flexible with start times as well as days worked, including weekends.
