Are you a student who read/wants to read When They Call you a Terrorist? Come and discuss the book with other Middle & High Schoolers!
The Yale Afro-American Cultural Center (a.k.a The House) invites 6-12th graders to a book talk and discussion of When They Call You a Terrorist by Patrisse Cullors and Asha Bandele. It will be held on October 16th, 3:30-5 pm at New Haven’s People Get Ready Bookstore. Following the AfAm House free book distribution of about 500 copies to students in the Greater New Haven Area, we hope that this event encourages community building through reflection and discussion of When They Call You a Terrorist.
*The first 30 students to RSVP will get a free copy of Say Her Name–Poems to Empower by Zetta Elliott!!
**Note: The event is for 6th-12th graders in the Greater New Haven Area who have read/ want to read the book. Parents, please register with your child's name and use your email address if preferred!
