Tri-State NDT is a technology company that tests heating and cooling systems throughout the Tri-State New York area, as well as New England and beyond. Established in Staten Island in 1986, Tri-State's technicians use various non-destructive testing techniques such as Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, and API testing services. We are looking for a person in Staten Island, Brooklyn, Manhattan, or Eastern NJ. Here's a sample of one of our employees performing an Eddy Current test on a chiller: Requirements You are able to work 5 days a week You are able to work 8 hours and start at about 7am You own a reliable car: we pay for travel expenses You have received all doses of an FDA-approved COVID vaccine. You are able to pass a drug test as needed We are looking for someone organized, focused, reliable, punctual, with great attention to detail and in good physical condition. This is a physically demanding job, and can require significant stamina. Equipment can weigh up to 40 pounds, and while employees are given a rolling bag, it happens from time to time that the equipment must be carried short distances. Related Industries Related industries include Construction, Mechanics, HVAC, Electrical, Building, Weld Inspection and Plumbing. Knowledge in these areas is not required but is a big plus. Learned Skills Throughout your time at Tri-State NDT, there are a variety of skills that may be acquired for testing as well as equipment assembly and maintenance. Some of these depend on the initiative, willingness, enthusiasm and effort of the employee.
