Latino Outdoors Western Massachusetts invites you to join us for an introduction to birding at Forest Park in Springfield, MA!
Get to know the migratory birds in our own backyards and local parks - starting at Forest Park in Springfield!
We invite you to join us for a walking tour with some of our local birding experts. Walks will be staggered and there will be fun free activities to learn about birds that don't require any walking at all. You can join us anytime between 10am - 12pm! We will be stationed just inside the park at the Trafton Entrance of the park.
We will have snacks, water, and a lot of free activities for kids and families, including:
Learn how to find and identify migratory birds!Practice using binoculars!Go on a bird walk with bird experts!Examine bird skulls!Go on a nature treasure hunt!Prizes for showing off what you’ve learned!Forest Park has many trails that are paved, flat and accessible for a range of activities and abilities.
Registration is required for contact tracing and we encourage all participants to wear a face mask when physical distancing isn’t possible - let’s continue to keep our community safe.
