Come visit the R.W. Kern Center! Join us on campus for a tour of the R.W. Kern Center, an innovative green building and the 17th certified Living Building. Learn about rainwater collection, natural greywater treatment, composting toilets, renewable energy and more ways our building contributes to a better environment. Bring your questions! This is an interactive tour, and will be based on attendees own interest and knowledge. To keep up-to-date on R.W. Kern Center news and events, join our mailing list. We’re your allies in creating sustainable places for people and the environment.   The R.W. Kern Center is a the 17th certified Living Building, a model for sustainable design in action. The RWKC generates its own electricity, collects and treats its own water, and is built with locally sourced, non toxic materials. The building also serves as a living laboratory, a place for students and the public study to research and learn about sustainable building systems and performance.
