Wellness for the Culture presents the Cultural Wellness Network Association! An association of Black and brown Mental health Professionals!! Wellness for the Culture presents the Cultural Wellness Network Association! An association of Black and brown Mental health Professionals!! Wellness for the Culture's mission is to eradicate systems and stigma that hinder black and brown people from accessing mental health treatment. This starts with the decolonization of mental health education. The Cultural Wellness Network Association is a Mental Health and Wellness association to advance the capacity and skill sets of Mental Health therapists while providing networking and community engagement. We aim to create an alliance and network of black and brown mental health providers offering culturally competent education, support and opportunities. 🥳🥳🥳 We will host our second Networking Mixer October 15th at 6 pm at The Ethnic Study. We will have a brief presentation at 6 pm so we do encourage all to be on time! We don't want you to miss out! This is for anyone ( of color) in the field or aspiring to be in this field, bring your business cards and let’s work and have fun!! Whitney Dodds is the founder of Wellness for the Culture, LLC a mental health practice in Springfield, Ma. She has obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, as well as a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from American International College. Whitney is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Connecticut and licensed mental health counselor in Massachusetts. Whitney is passionate about the well-being of people. She is reaching people through her blog, community events, and through therapeutic book club.  Her desire to begin building her practice is derived from witnessing the cultural needs of her community. Whitney's mission is to motivate, uplift, and educate people through mental health services. Her approach is tailor made to encourage engagement, within her community, all the while dismantling the cultural stigma that hinders black and brown people from receiving treatment.
