We are launching the Just Cannabusiness program to help create a more equitable cannabis industry in DC. Learning & networking come first. The Department of Small & Local Business Development (DSBLD)'s Innovation & Equitable Development (Inno.ED) division is so excited to be launching the Just Cannabusiness initiative. This first event, held at and in partnership with the DC Public Library (DCPL) is a salon discussion to hear about different perspectives on industry and equity. It is also a networking opportunity for anyone who is interested in meeting others in or seeking to be in the industry. DSLBD seeks to learn about and support equity in its many facets related to cannabis industry access, with a particular but not exclusive focus on DC returning citizens and veterans.Agenda4 arrive4:15 hear from speakers5 - 6 open networkingSurveyOn or before October 13th, DSLBD will release the Just Cannabusiness Equity survey to gather more information about specific needs, barriers, and ideas for creating an equitable cannabis market in DC. LocationWe will be on the 5th floor & rooftop of the MLK Library at 901 G St. NW, Washington, DC 20001. Masks are required while in all DC Public Library facilities. Come to the 5th floor to check in.
