This is an event serving all military in the Wichita Falls and surrounding areas by providing resources from the federal to the local level. Note: If you cannot attend this event and want to be emailed the vendor resources from this event please email Mallory Morris at [email protected] The Veterans Land Board, VFW Post 8878 and Midwestern State University is inviting all Military Veterans, First Responders, Active Military Servicemembers, Healthcare workers and Spouses to a one-day Benefits & Resource Fair. Midwestern State University is hosting this event and the following groups will be presenting in the Sikes Lake Center. This event will be following current Wichita County ordinances and directives regarding COVID-19. Please bring a mask to this event. We are adding vendors daily! Here are just some of the vendors here to help you: - Texas Veterans Land Board - VFW Post 8878 - Wichita Falls Veterans Service Office - Catholic Charities - Texas Veterans Network - Sheppard Air Force Base - Vietnam Veterans Chapter - American Legion - VITA - MSU The Texas Legislature created the Veterans Land Board (VLB) as part of the Texas General Land Office (GLO) in 1946 to help Veterans returning to Texas after World War II to buy land. The VLB has expanded over the years to offer additional loan programs and services to Veterans and Military Members. The mission of the VLB is to ensure that we offer the very best package of Veterans benefits in the country and those of us who work for the VLB strive to meet those goals every day. For more than 70 years, we have had the honor to serve Veterans, Military Members, and their families in Texas, and we look forward to keeping that promise in the years to come.
