Litquake's 2021 Lit Crawl runs from 5-9pm on Saturday, October 23rd. Full schedule at https://www.litquake.org/litcrawl2021.html
Zyzzyva presents readings from past and recent contributors to the journal of arts and letters founded in San Francisco in 1985. Featuring Jonathan Escoffery, Gabriela Garcia, Vanessa Hua, D.A. Powell, and Margaret Wilkerson Sexton.
ZYZZYVA was founded in 1985 in San Francisco with the goal of publishing a superb literary journal shining a spotlight on West Coast poets, writers, and artists from a wide range of backgrounds, many of whom were otherwise overlooked by established publications, and providing them with a much needed platform. Since then, the journal has evolved into a nationally distributed, widely acclaimed publication showcasing contributors from across the country and around the world. In 2020, the journal marked 35 years of continuous publishing, celebrating more than three decades of enriching contemporary literature and supporting literary communities in the Bay Area and beyond. Free.
This program is indoors. Mask and proof of vaccination are required at the door. Please read the requirements at litquake.org/covid.

Litquake’s diverse live programs are created with the aim of inspiring critical engagement with the key issues of the day, bringing people together around the common humanity encapsulated in literature, and perpetuating a sense of literary community, as well as a vibrant forum for Bay Area writing. We believe in literature as a public good, so we work to produce events that are accessible to all.
