Two Identical Positions Available The warehouse side of this job will be the primary part of the job to start then moving into the administrative side. Well established sales and distribution company located in Winston-Salem is currently hiring for two permanent full-time positions. Our office is responsible for sales and distribution throughout the US of products manufactured at our facility in Canada. We also accept products returned for disposal which we inspect, repackaged and ship back to the Canadian facility. As these are identical positions you will be cross trained and must be able to work in both the warehouse and office. The two current full-time employees at this location have each been with the company for more than 20 years. Average tenure company-wide exceeds 20 years so this is a rare opportunity to join a company that experiences little turnover. Fully staffed we carry four full-time employees so the ability to work well within a small team while maintaining flexibility and a good attitude is crucial. Everyone is cross trained and expected to fill in and assist where needed at any time. We serve a niche market so training specific to the company, position and industry will be provided but the following are minimum requirements to start. High School Diploma or Equivalent Ability to Pass Criminal Background Check No bankruptcy within the last 10 years Have never been charged with any financial crime Ability to manage your time and work with minimal supervision Ability to consistently lift, carry and stack 40-50lbs Be able to move loaded pallets using a manual pallet jack Be familiar with both Microsoft Word and Excel Must reside within a reasonable distance of the facility Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required Must Provide Proof of Covid vaccination Dress Code: We rarely meet customers onsite and work ranges from the office to the warehouse daily, our dress code is somewhat relaxed. Jeans, shorts and casual shirts are acceptable as long as they are office appropriate. Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To: Data Entry Order Entry Invoicing (Order entry or invoicing experience is a plus as is experience with ACCPAC accounting software) Payment Processing Filing Packing and Shipping Orders Receiving and Organizing Incoming Inventory – No loading or unloading of trucks required Inspecting and repackaging products being returned to Canada Palletizing and shrink wrapping shipments being returned to our Canadian facility Clean building and work spaces Other tasks as assigned by management. Hours and Compensation: Starting rate is $15.00 per hour Hours are M-F 8:00AM – 4:30PM – No nights, weekends or holidays. Half hour lunch Starting Benefits: 80 hours paid vacation annually 40 hours paid sick time annually 10 Paid Holidays Additional paid vacation for the Christmas holidays. Dates are set by senior management but generally there are five to eight additional paid days off depending on where Christmas day falls.We return to work on Jan. 3rd rather than the 2nd. Full Family Blue Cross Blue Shield Medical Insurance and Prescription Coverage provided. This is provided by the company with no employee contribution required. Benefits start after a 90 day probationary period. Based on performance the probation period may be shortened at management’s discretion.
