The last 2021 stewardship day at the Notch habitat enhancement project in Garden City.
The Boise River Enhancement Network is conducting a pilot project to manage invasive false indigo at this Department of Lands property in the floodway in Garden City. Massive amounts of false indigo have been removed and treated according to a plan. The plots have been monitored regularly to measure the effectiveness of various treatments. This is the final visit for 2021. Volunteers will cut and treat any remaining false indigo, water newly planted plants (unless it's been raining) and do other weeded as needed.
Please dress for the weather, bring water and gloves. Helpful tools are loppers, clippers, and buckets.
