Hi. My name is Roy. I'm an artist. I am also a veteran. A friend of mine recently passed away and I was highly disappointed at how his obituary turned out. There is just so much more life to a person when you know them, and I feel like obituaries leave so much of that out. I also feel like it's a really old tradition and that it must change. So I thought, why don't we change that? Why don't we change the way the life of someone is told? Why don't we change the way we tell a person's tale and what we leave behind, not just a couple of paragraphs with a picture that tells almost nothing about the depth of that person? I have an idea about how to do that. But I need volunteers. If you, or someone you know, is going to die soon, and they want to be part of this project, to reinvent their obituary, and leave behind something much more tangible, something their grandchildren would be able to watch, learn from, and have for the rest of their lives, something that can tell your tale in a much different way, shoot me an email and we'll find a way to do that together. I am currently not looking for compensation. I am only looking to start an art project. Your participation is entirely voluntary and all your wishes will be honored and respected.
