Western Construction and Equipment is looking for a self-driven Heavy Equipment Mechanic with a strong work ethic. Duties and Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair hydraulic system failures associated with heavy duty construction equipment. Diagnose and repair electrical components and wiring related to heavy duty construction equipment and vehicles. General mechanical diagnosis and repair on fleet of heavy duty and light duty diesel and gas powered equipment and trucks. Knowledge and ability to in utilization of the standard and complex tools of the trade. Qualifications and Requirements: To be successful at this position applicants should have at least 3 years minimum of work related to the field: trade school or equivalent on the job training. Individuals should have experience working on diesel engines, air brakes, and knowledge of electrical. This position is mostly worked in the shop, but occasionally work will require travel to job sites. Drivers License is a must Clean background and ability to pass a drug test Ensure quality and expedite work done in a timely manner Be able to lift, push, pull up 50 pounds repeatedly and safely Must be physically able to be on feet, standing, walking, and working on hard concrete and tire floors for full shifts.
