Inaugural Champions of Change Awards Luncheon To honor extraordinary leaders and mentors in the Quad Cities, YWCA Quad Cities and the YES SHE CAN Series will host the first annual CHAMPIONS OF CHANGE Awards Luncheon on January 20, 2022 @ Waterfront Convention Center. Our mission at YWCA Quad Cities is simple: Empowering Women and Eliminating Racism. Although every year we host the Race Against Racism, which highlights individuals who are working tirelessly to take a stand against racism in our community, we felt it was just as important to highlight the outstanding individuals in our community that are laser-focused on the other piece of mission: empowering women. Community members are encouraged to submit nominations for the awards; the nomination period is NOW OPEN. This award program was created to specifically celebrate those who mentor and empower women; those who are stepping up beside women in building a better and more gender equal community to be recognized. It is vital that these individuals are recognized for willingness to step up, work together, listen, learn and lead with and by action. By honoring them, we hope to encourage others to take notice of this leadership and positive impact.
