At Harvey Scott, she was my 5th grade teacher (I was born in 1999) and she always had jolly ranchers for her students. Her favorite thing to say was “IRRITATING” and she influenced my sarcastic humor. She had tremor and loved to read & write, even said reading my creative writing compositions was the highlight of her job.
We didn’t keep in touch past 2011. I think she retired before I realized how impactful she was to me growing up. I have tried asking former classmates for any email or information, but to no avail. Bonnie if you’re reading this, you’re the reason I am pursuing a career in writing after all these years. Thank you so much for the laughs and confidence.
