I have a pair of lovebirds to rehome. Both have been DNA-sexed and confirmed their gender. Male is the dark green / blue / yellow, coloring known as Seagreen (Aqua-torquiese). Name is Valor. Roughly a year old. Was parent-raised so he’s semi-tamed. He isn’t a big fan of stepping up, but will lay around your head, shoulders & body. No tendency to bite what so ever. Very sweet to have around. Female is the lighter green body color with an orange crown. She has some blue on her back. This coloring is called Cinnamon. She is also roughly a year old. Name is Xayah. She was hand-raised. So she is handtamed and will step up. She does have a tendency to bite during the hormonal / mating season, but never broke skin. She is also cage territorial (common for female lovebirds) otherwise very sweet. Loves being around people and is in fact more co-dependent on people than her bird friend Valor when out during play / flight time. Valor relies on Xayah and through her she has allowed him to trust people to an extent than most parent-raised love birds do. For this reason they are a bonded pair and must go together. Must go to pet only homes. She is infertile and is unable to have fertilized eggs due to her being a hybrid. She will lay eggs, but none have been fertile. So they are not to be expected to be a breeding pair. Avoiding houses and huts in cage best avoids any breeding habits. I am sad to rehome them because they are great pets and have been enjoyable to have around. They unfortunately bully my cockatiel (when out together) so rotational play time / flight time has become harder for me to manage with a baby on the way. I’m looking for someone who has the free time to give them the care and love they need. I do not want them to go to a home where they’re mainly caged throughout their day. So I will be asking some questions about your schedule and daily routine. I will be picky with their new owners. Please have knowledge in bird care.
