Monterey market price tags mistakes can be costly

Description

On Saturday I picked up 2 watermelon from the same bin and took them to the cashier. Price was 79 cents per pound. The young lady charged me 2 different prices, one was 79 cents and other $1.45 per pound total $16.50. When I said 2 are the same, she revised the purchase to $25.60. At my request, Both cashier and I went back to the bin to review the price. She consulted the gentleman who places produce in different bins. We returned to the cash register and price was changed to $10.60. $ 15 price difference for 2 small melons. This is not the first time having this experience at the Monterey Market.
