The Upstate division of Save the Children Action Network’s volunteers would like to cordially. Greetings and Salutations!!! The Upstate division of Save the Children Action Network’s volunteers would like to cordially invite you to a generation-changing event. On Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 10:00-11:30 AM, members of the community will meet outside Spartanburg’s landmark restaurant “The Beacon” where we will have several individuals who will address us briefly concerning the importance of Early Care & Education. We are living in unprecedented times with an onslaught of challenges that seem to keep coming. The good news is that in the midst of all of the looming darkness we still have so much light. That light shines through our children. They are the next generation of leaders who will emerge out of the shadows to help bring change and forge the path towards a better tomorrow. Some of our now-preschool-aged children will solve problems that have baffled us for centuries, and bring about scientific breakthroughs that will cure diseases we never thought could be eradicated. In light of this truth, shouldn’t we fight for their continued education? Our entire futures depend on them and the opportunities they have now! Many have no idea that these little pioneers begin to form a worldview between the ages of 2 an 5 years of age. This is the most amazing time of brain development in a human being’s life, and it is why investing in Early Care & Education is vital.
