Description
Rehoming this extremely gentle cat. Her name is Goldie, and she is approximately 7 years old. She is a polydactyl tuxedo with intense goldish-green eyes. Doesn’t scratch or bite. Stares up into your eyes and responds when you talk to her or give her affection. She is a really chill cat and extremely comfortable with her humans once trust is developed.
We adopted her hoping that she would be able to coexist with our other 2 felines but unfortunately they are not getting along at all and the other cats have begun showing their disapproval by “marking” all over the house.
She is also not happy living here. If we bring her upstairs with the kids and family, she will scurry back to a hiding spot in the basement as soon as we put her down. She otherwise secludes herself shared her disapproval of the living situation by crying out in the middle of the night. It’s not fair for her and it's breaking our hearts.
For these reasons, we feel she probably needs to be an only cat, preferably in a calm home without small children but she gets along quite with dogs that are cat friendly. Initially if a dog is rough or hyper while hanging over her, she may growl in defense but when she understands they won’t harm her, that reaction goes away.
Note. With humans, she may hiss on occasion if cornered or really scared but her verbal reaction isn’t accompanied by physical aggression at all. (She’s all hiss and no bite or scratch.)
After gaining her trust with a few sessions of dedicated attention, she will be a very laid back and quiet companion who is never moody or temperamental and always receptive of affection. She is a rare and amazing cat that just needs a more suited home where she can peacefully thrive.
Goldie will come with a hard-cover litter box, cat bed, and cat scratching post with hideaway.
Will be screening for the right home. Rehoming fee applies.
