Burlington VT

Description

Hey Burlington! I have lived and worked in the BVT area for about 5 years. I left shortly before the pandemic to reunite with my band in the Philadelphia area. Unfortunately because of the pandemic our plans changed. I am looking to get a feel for any VT musicians who may be interested in being part of my project. While I lived in BVT I was consumed with school & work, but am interested to return while focusing more on an artistic life. My goals are to put together a band that tours up and down the east coast to start, as well as records on a regular basis. I still have some connections in the area and a ton of cool gear that we would have access to. I’d consider renting out a house as a group if that made the most sense for consistently working on music and saving money. I am looking for folks in their 20s-30s who have experience on the stage and in studio, as well as are respectful collaborators to all involved. Primarily looking for guitar, bass, drums, and keys, but always love collaborating with pedal steel and string players. While my goal is to have a full-time consistent lineup, I am still open to any musicians who may be interested in working with me as a side-project. I always felt I never had enough personal time to invest in the community because of my work schedule, so I would be happy to meet some new musician friends to attend shows and record shop with. A few influences of mine include Petty, Springsteen, Minus the Bear, Death Cab for Cutie, Any Jack White Project, Sigur Ros, The War on Drugs, Anais Mitchell, The National, Biffy Clyro, The Mars Volta, Future Islands, St Vincent, Garbage, Deftones, Land of Talk, Pearl Jam, PJ Harvey, Beck, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, The Cure, Circa Survive, Wolf Alice, and Peter Gabriel. Below is a link to some tracks made in my home studio, Gradwell House in NJ, as well as Christopher Hawthorne’s Studio in VT remotely during the pandemic. tylerjohnmusic.com/epk “Fallen Idol” is an upbeat Alt Rock Track & “Our Good Name” is a slow Death Cab influenced track. If you have access to a home studio, I have a ton of tracks I am currently working on that I would be happy to share with anyone who may interested in laying something down to see if we’d be a fit. Thanks for reading folks!
