This year's Harmony for Humanity concert features music of sibling composers Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn and NY composer Jessie Montgomery.
This "Harmony for Humanity" performance is part of Daniel Pearl World Music Days - an international network of concerts that uses the power of music to affirm our commitment to respecting differences and honoring our common humanity. Every October, the Fairmount String Quartet joins musicians all over the world who dedicate concerts to a shared belief in the power of music to lift people of different backgrounds and beliefs above the differences that set us apart.
Program:
Fanny Mendelssohn - String Quartet in Eb
Felix Mendelssohn - String Quartet Op. 44, # 1 in D
Jessie Montgomery - Strum
Seating for this performance is limited to comply with Covid distancing regulations. All attendees must be masked.
