to describe what I'd hope it would sound like it would be Fugazi's edge, Grateful Dead's sense of experimenting with tradition, Can's hypnotic improv and the rawness of Velvet Underground, the honesty of Bob Dylan all framed by our own creativity. I'm hoping to do something that is at least new enough that can't be described with a genre hashtag.
I'm new to the area. I've been playing guitar for almost 30 years. I'm all for synths, samples and whatever sparks a drive. I'm 44, but I'm not worried about your age and I think artistic vision is more valuable than technical skill. I don't mind playing other peoples songs, but I don't want it to be a jukebox. And I have no interest in "playing the hits"
I'd like to write songs and incorporate improv and jamming. I'd also definitely like to play shows but I haven't seen a place on Cape Cod that hosts anything but cover bands, so it'd most likely be shows in Providence or Boston unless you know of something.
I don't have the greatest rehearsal space, but it might do until we find something.
I'm also fully vaccinated, and if you aren't we probably won't get along long enough to play anything anyway. But if you are and your interested...let's go!
